Research and Innovation

Research and Innovation activities are targeting primarily the field ofInformation & Communication Technologies and currently further expanding in the areas of Energy, Environment, Transport and Socioeconomic Sciences in order to support the entire range of industries served by PLANET. 

PLANETs research & innovation activities focus on the:

• Development of innovative methods, scenarios and models that anticipate and shape the future evolution of the information society.
• Evaluation and validation of advanced technological solutions in real business/organizational settings.
• Development of market studies and business plans for the future exploitation and deployment of RTD results.
• Support to EU RTD international cooperation policy development e.g. through the determination of research priorities for non EU countries.
• Provision of training and support to users of RTD results and newcomers (e.g. research actors in third countries) in the Framework Programs.
