Psykiatrisk Center København (Psychiatric Center Copenhagen)

The construction of one coherent psychiatry in the region allows: Overall priorities across Psychiatry, among other things, to ensure uniform treatment for the same needs - no matter where in the region you live. Collection of professional competence Effective use of resources   Treatment The Capital Region of Psychiatry more than 5,000 employees handle the treatment of approximately 5,000 people with mental illness each year. This corresponds to approximately 40 percent of the total psychiatric treatment in Denmark. The treatment takes place at the psychiatric centers, either in the psychiatric ambulatories, if it is without hospitalization, or in the 24-hour sections at hospitalization.  Organization The Capital Region of Psychiatry is geographically distributed throughout the region and consists of 8 psychiatric centers, one child and adolescent psychiatric center, and a joint staff function.  Geographical spread The geographical spread creates a need for a strong management organization. Therefore, the Capital Region of Psychiatry is organized with a central staff function, which ensures the cross-cutting coordination and development of the Capital Region of Psychiatry, as well as strong decentralized units with their own management responsible for day-to-day operations and patient care. Services The Capital Region of Psychiatry provides the region's services in the field of psychiatry. The core task is the treatment and care of people with mental illness within the two medical specialties of adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
