Rede De Sementes Do Cerrado (RSC) is a non-profit association whose mission is the defense, preservation, conservation, management, recovery, promotion of studies and research, and the dissemination of technical and scientific information related to the environment Cerrado, especially in Central Brazil. As a FNMA project for the formation of forest seed networks, it appeared in 2001, with the purpose of promoting the seed production chain in the Cerrado biome. Created legally in 2004, in 2005 it obtained the title of OSCIP (Social Organization of Civil Society of Public Interest) and has been trying to fulfill its mission as explained in its Bylaws and Internal Regulations.
RSC acts in the political and technical articulation for the regulation of the activity of collecting seeds, promoting trade, improving the quality of seeds and seedlings of native species of the Cerrado. Organized and participated in meetings between the Seed Networks of the different Brazilian biomes, the last one in November 2015, aiming at the articulation of public policies in the forest seed sector. It also participates in discussion forums such as the Paranoá River Basin Committee, Water Resources Council - DF, ARIE Granja do Ipê Advisory Council and Aliança Cerrado / DF.
