Seward Incorporated designs and develops customized learning solutions for educational environments around the world. Since 1990, Seward’s professional staff has worked with a wide variety of clients both in education and industry to create instructionally effective print-based, Web-based, CD-ROM, DVD- ROM, and blended learning products. Since its founding, Seward has specialized in the production of technology-based materials and is widely recognized for its emphasis on creativity and quality instructional design.
Seward has worked on international development education projects funded by the Asian Development Bank, USAID, UNICEF and others. International projects have included projects in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Oceania.
Seward’s curriculum products are used in education at the primary, secondary, and post secondary levels. Examples include media-rich science materials based on the Newton’s Apple television show and published by National Geographic, mathematics education materials created for The Learning Zone and U.S. Department of Commerce, and technology integration training for teachers published by Emerging Technology Consultants.
Seward employs highly trained personnel who approach each project by seeking to understand partners’ needs and working with them to craft learning products that are engaging, easy to use, and consistently deliver the desired learning outcomes. We consider partner input at all phases of a product to be essential to a successful result.
With each project, Seward’s designers strive to produce an engaging and creative learning environment that uses a variety of instructional techniques and provides frequent activities to promote the processing and integration of the content being presented. By using new content and adding it to their existing decision-making frameworks, learners are better able to understand, retain, retrieve, and apply what they have learned. The result is that learners have expanded their skills and ability to creatively apply newly learned material to critical thinking and problem solving situations. See more
