The Access Project is an award-winning charity that works with high-potential students from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing a programme of personalised tuition and in-school support, to help them gain access to selective universities. Working in partnership with schools since 2008, they have a proven track record of raising attainment and widening access. In schools working with The Access Project, students are almost twice as likely to gain a place at a Russell Group university and 70% more likely to gain a place at a Top Third university than in comparable schools. In the last academic year 89% of Access Project students who applied to Top Third universities were offered a place. Vision Every child in the UK should have an equal opportunity to achieve their academic ambitions.   Mission To combat educational inequality by using volunteer tutors to help motivated students access top universities.
