Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP)
Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP)
About

They help create federal policy and funding solutions by uniting their partners and amplifying the voices of American sportsmen and women in service of Theodore Roosevelt’s conservation legacy.

In 1912, Roosevelt said, “There can be no greater issue than that of conservation in this country.” While in the political arena, he succeeded in making conservation a top-tier national issue. T.R. had the foresight to address these issues still so significant to sportsmen today, understanding that if they want to safeguard critical habitat, productive hunting grounds, and favorite fishing holes for future generations, they must plan carefully today.

‘Partnership’ is in their name. They work with 52 diverse partner groups that represent today’s leading hunting, fishing, and conservation organizations in order to strengthen the sportsman’s voice in Washington, D.C. They help identify areas of consensus, coordinate work towards shared priorities, establish plans for action, and present a united front to lawmakers who can have a major impact on hunting and fishing. In addition to their board, policy council, corporate council, and staff, the TRCP is made up of more than 75,000 individual advocates and 1,400 affiliated local- and state-level clubs and organizations. Partnership does not necessarily imply that these groups participate in all of the TRCP’s work, but the organizations listed below are committed to collaboration in service of advancing conservation policy.

You can become an individual advocate for free or through a paid membership. Both are open to anyone who believes in furthering their mission to guarantee all Americans quality places to hunt and fish.
