Todos Pela Educacao (TPE)
Todos pela Educação (TPE), founded in 2006, is a movement of Brazilian society whose mission is to engage the public power and society in their commitment to the realization of the right of children and young people to quality basic education.
Nonpartisan and plural, it brings together public managers, educators, parents, students, researchers, journalists, business people and people or social organizations who are committed to guaranteeing this right.
The goal of the TPE, translated into 5 Goals, is to help provide access conditions for everyone from 4 to 17 years of age, full literacy up to 8 years of age, apprenticeship appropriate for the year, completion of steps at the appropriate age and extension and good management of resources invested in basic education. Goals that do not express all that they need to achieve, but that clearly and objectively translate what they need to achieve in order to change levels and realize the main educational rights.
In 2010, the movement adopted 5 Flags, which understands as urgent and with impactful and positive results that address training and teaching career, learning rights, pedagogical use of assessments, Integral Education and improvement of governance and management of the area.
In 2014, 5 Attitudes were identified that show how they can all help children and young people to learn more and for life. They deal with teacher valorization and learning; promoting important life and school skills; to put school education on a daily basis; supporting students' life projects and protagonism, and expanding their cultural and sporting repertoire.
The TPE believes that, due to the magnitude of the challenge and the historical inequality of education in Brazil, only government action is not enough. The participation of all, gathered around common goals and aligned with the guidelines of educational public policies, is fundamental to promote the quality leap that Brazilian Basic Education needs.See more
