The company has been helping to build, reconstruct, modernize and re-equip main gas pipeline facilities and gas distribution networks for 2012-2017. The ultimate goal of all business activities is to maximize the value of the business of Uztransgaz, which provides uninterrupted supply of natural gas to the interests of the Company's shareholders and its management. Uztransgaz uses 13027.1 thousand km of main gas pipelines that cover the entire territory of the republic and has a list of gas transportation systems in neighboring countries - Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The company is confidently moving forward in addressing such important issues as the modernization and technical re-equipment of main gas pipeline and gas distribution networks, the implementation of major investment projects, as well as the introduction of the latest and promising technologies and services. In 2012-2017, the company plans to further expand the construction, reconstruction, modernization and technical re-equipment of the main gas pipeline and gas distribution networks. The main goal of all the upcoming work is the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to all categories of consumers, the most rapid increase in the cost of Uztransgaz's business in the interests of the shareholders of the Company and in accordance with the tasks assigned to the management. Uztransgaz JSC operates 13027.1 thousand km of gas pipelines, covering all regions of the republic, and has access to gas transmission systems of neighboring states - Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The main objectives of Uztransgaz are: - uninterrupted provision of consumers of the republic with natural and liquefied gas in the prescribed manner, in compliance with regulatory requirements for the safe operation of gas mains, compressor stations, underground gas storages, gas distribution networks and their equipment; - pursuing a unified technical policy in the main gas pipeline system and in gas distribution networks, taking into account their modernization and technical re-equipment, in compliance with the transportation technology and the hydraulic balance of natural gas; - ensuring the rational use of natural gas in the main gas pipeline system and in gas distribution networks; - ensuring strict accounting of gas sold and the completeness of revenue with the introduction of modern instruments and methods of accounting, taking measures to reduce losses and unreasonable consumption of natural gas, preventing and suppressing the facts of illegal connection to gas networks and gas theft, in accordance with the law; - increasing the volume of natural gas supplies for export and expanding the services provided for its transportation. In order to ensure the stable operation of the gas transportation system, the joint-stock company carries out construction, reconstruction, modernization and technical re-equipment of facilities in the medium and long term in accordance with the Uztransgaz AK Modernization and Technical Re-equipment Program. Uztransgaz is entrusted with the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to consumers in the Republic of Uzbekistan, transportation, transit and export. The development of the gas industry in Uzbekistan has been around since the 1950s. The first gas was excavated at Setalantepa in 1953. In 1962, the Gazli gas field, which had already broken into the transcontinental main gas pipelines in Bukhara - Ural and Central Asia, was subjected to numerous excavations. Uztransgaz was established in 1973 as a separate gas transportation company. In 1978, the North Suh gas storage station was established, and the practice of the establishment of the Gazi gas storage facility was established at the base of the gas field. Uninterrupted supply of natural gas to consumers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as its transportation, transit and export, is entrusted to Uztransgaz Joint Stock Company. The history of the development of the gas industry in Uzbekistan begins in the 1950s. The first gas was produced in 1953 at the Setalan-tepe field. In 1962, the development of the Gazli field began with the laying of transcontinental gas pipelines Bukhara-Ural and Central Asia-Center. Uzbekgazprom industrial association was created in 1973, and then, as a separate gas transportation company, the development of Uztransgaz began. In 1978, the pilot operation of the Northern Sokh gas storage facility was launched; the next year, the Gazli UGSF, created on the basis of the Gazli gas field.
