All children should be able to follow their dreams and be the best they can be. No matter what life throws at them. No matter what their ability.
Each year, thousands of children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs, get support from Variety the Children’s Charity when they need it most.
Variety helps when others can’t.
Families and organisations can turn to Variety – the Children’s Charity when government assistance isn’t available.
Variety provides support through grants for children and families for things like:
Mobility equipment and wheelchairs
Communication devices and education aides
Medical items and services
Therapy services, including occupational therapy and music therapy
The enormous generosity of the Variety community has changed the lives of thousands of Australian children with special needs for over 40 years.
Together they’ve created a place where children and their families can turn to for help when times are tough and when there is nowhere else to turn.
In 2015 they helped nearly 130,000 children through grants for:
Equipment that helps children with their mobility, like wheelchairs, walking aids, and modified vehicles.
Rare and expensive medical equipment and services including insulin pumps, wigs, feeds, nappies, oxygen pumps and more.
Technology, programs and scholarships that help children unlock all the joys of education and communication.
