At World Resources Institute Mexico they seek to move society towards a way of life that protects the environment and ensures the ability to provide resources to meet the needs of present and future generations.
They focus our work on four of the six critical programs to ensure a sustainable future, with the following objectives:
Improve the quality of life in cities through the development and scaling of urban and mobility solutions that are environmentally, socially and economically sustainable
Driving the global transition to a low-carbon economy that creates development opportunities while protecting communities and natural ecosystems from harm
caused by GHGs.
Reduce forest loss and restore the productivity of degraded forest areas to conserve biodiversity, mitigate climate change, reduce poverty and improve food security.
Guide the scaling of clean and affordable energy systems in the world to achieve sustainable socio-economic development.
Globally we also have the following objectives of our two remaining programs:
Ensure that food systems reduce their impact on the environment and that they generate economic opportunities and sustainable food for 9.6 billion people by 2050.
Guarantee access to water by mapping, measuring and mitigating water risk.
