I have thirty eight years of professional experience in designing and managing water resource management projects (Urban Water Supply, Rural Water Supply, Urban/Rural Sanitation, Watershed Development for agriculture and wildlife protection purposes and infrastructure projects management). I worked with USAID and its partners such as Tetra Tech, RTI in development assistance and cooperating country governments.
I served as Lead Engineer and Deputy Chief Of Party (DCOP) for Liberia Municipal Water infrastructure Project (LMWP) Quality Assurance, Team Leader for SUWASA (Sustainable Water and Sanitation in Africa) South Sudan project, and Deputy Chief Of Party for USAID/PEPAM in Senegal. I successfully led, completed and Commissioned the LMWP infrastructure Quality Assurance (2016-2018), the implementation of the SUWASA WASH Project including a Sanitation and utility reform investment plan in South Sudan(2011-2015). My experience also covers watershed development for agricultural and environment protection purposes (anti-salt dams, retention dams, irrigation systems and natural resources management) as well as mentoring decentralized local authorities for infrastructure planning. In addition I not only provided Consulting services in the urban water sector and have a strong experience in starting up and closing out projects in a successful manner. Nine years working in conflict and post conflict countries - South Sudan, Iraq and Southern Senegal - has exposed and acquainted me with harsh project implementation environment and has helped me further develop capacities to adapt to the local environment and provide the best support instruments and guidance to implementation teams for better performance.
I am holding a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from University of Pittsburgh and a Public Private Partnership certification from IP3 and Loughborough University.
