Adam has over 25-years work experience in public sector programme management, political advocacy, in- ternational diplomacy and business development. He is exceptional at building strategic relationships and has extensive networks throughout the Pacific Islands region and regional Northern Australia. As a Consultant, he has provided client-work for private companies, Indigenous Organisations and businesses; Federal and State Governments in Australia and PNG statutory authorities. He is currently coordinating the flagship event; 2019 HDR Research Lab for Higher Degree Scholars at the National Centre for Indigenous Studies, Australian Na- tional University (ANU) and doing research/consulting roles in an independent capacity from Canberra, Aus- tralia. Adam has undertaken leadership roles at the United Nations (UN), QLD State Parliament, Cook Electorate; Pacific Islands Forum and at various Conference of the Parties to UN Conventions. Adam gained diplomatic experience as a Foreign Service Officer with the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, culminating in a two-term posting to the UN New York. Following that stint, he was appointed Senior Adviser (International Issues and Regional Coordination) to the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, where his experience in multilateral processes made a positive impact in the formalisation of institutional arrangements with several International organisations and processes. He later moved to Cairns, Australia, where he operat- ed a boutique Consulting company in new business development and market research. He was on contract to the QLD State-government, working as the Business Development Manager, with a successful Indigenous tourism operator in North Queensland and wrote key business documents, including award-winning submis- sions to the Tropical Tourism North Queensland Awards and Eco-Certification Australia. As a technical specialist, his management style is expressed in a logical, organized and demanding approach. Adam can enforce rules, push for accurate results and dominate a team to achieve, without the need to per- suade and motivate people on a daily basis. His Senior level experience includes recent job as the Senior Adviser/Electorate Officer to the independent Parliamentary State Member for Cook (Queensland Legislative Assembly); EL1/Program Manager (Economic Development) with the Australian Government's Torres Strait Regional Authority in the Torres Strait region, and as Consultancy Manager for the National Research Institute of PNG. He had also worked for about 5- years in Business Advisory/Consultancy and as a Journalist and Sales Representative for Media Niugini TV and PNG's National Broadcasting Corporation. He is a skilled Facilitator and exceptional in critical analysis, and drafting Policy, Statements and correspondences. Adam speaks and writes fluent Motu (PNG), Tok Pisin (PNG) and English.
