Ms. Yuliani has worked in International Development and Human Rights field since 2009 with focus on women and youth. Currently working for RWI as interim Head of Office, Ms. Yuliani provides her expertise on human rights, rule of law reform, gender mainstreaming, and child protection for the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Right’s Directorate General of Corrections (DGC) and UNICEF.
Prior to her work with RWI, Ms. Yuliani has worked with Search for Common Ground USA, where she co-designed a successful young women global initiative that utilize ICTs, especially radio, as a tool for women empowerment. Additionally, she worked on a counter violent extremism program that targets at-risk youth and young leaders.
Her experience working on both local and international encompasses a variety of roles from research, monitoring and evaluation, program development, youth development, technical writing, budget development, fundraising, event management, and facilitating - where she has facilitated and organized five regional training for senior level officials in DGC on Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners, Bangkok Rules, and Tokyo Rules. In addition, Ms. Yuliani has co-facilitated a monitoring and implementation training for NGO and law enforcers on the new Juvenile Justice Law in cooperation with Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice. Ms. Yuliani has been invited to speak on several international forums on the status of juvenile justice in Southeast Asia.
