Ajo A.

Ajo has worked in International Development, on return to Nigeria with the Ford Foundation and thereafter with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). A seasoned learning & development consultant, her work is centred around building Nigeria's workforce. She was head of human resources of an organisation with over 100 staff and the huge lack of job-preparedness of staff saw the birth of JobRed, a job seeker's and life skills toolkit designed to support school leavers and university graduates with the skills employers are looking for. It helps improve their job readiness through workshops and internship opportunities. It works as a Temp/Recruitment Agency which trains and outsources job-ready staff particularly for SMEs and NGOs. Her work is University/College based through the delivery of interactive Workshops under the concept of 'I am Talent'. Her experience as a human resources consultant has led to work on several private, public sector and social development organisations. She has been a judge on the African Leadership Academy, where 2 of her preferred candidates were selected, and an active member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group; with participation on the Youth and Employability Skills Committee. Ajo is also currently on the advisory board of CISCO Unites Foundation, working to bring life skills to the secondary school demographic. She is a Durham University Business School (DUBS) alumni and a certified Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) trainer.
