Summary

I am a forester with 25+ years of professional experience in development and research, focusing on tree seeds supply, tree domestication, agroforestry, and biodiversity management. I hold an engineer degree in rural development an MSc in tropical forestry and a PHD on biodiversity management ( Wageningen University, The Netherlands). I spent 15 years working for the National Tree Seed Centre of Burkina (my home country) including as Director. I worked 7 years with international research organizations (ICRISAT and ICRAF) in West Africa, on tree domestication and agroforestry systems. I joined FAO-Rome in 2011 as a Forestry Officer working on forest genetic resources and more recently moved to the FAO Regional office for Africa, in Accra (Ghana) as Natural Resources Officer in charge of Climate Change.
