I am a multimedia journalist with extensive knowledge of women and child poverty in Japan, disaster recovery, and international affairs. I worked as a broadcast journalist/TV documentary producer with a public broadcasting network, NHK, in Japan and later joined an English newspaper publisher as an online video producer in Rwanda, covering genocide survivors and Burundian refugee crisis. I produced over thirty news reports and documentaries.
I am a recent graduate of School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University with a Master's of Public Administration (MPA) degree. I also have a Master's of Economics degree from Hitotsubashi University and Bachelors of Public Management from Keio University in Japan.
I enjoy leading production teams and utilizing my strengths as a strong communicator, a natural relationship builder and a keen attention to detail. I am highly self-motivated, friendly, resourceful and proactive team-player as well as a proud mother of a 14-month-old daughter.
My interests cover international affairs, conflict resolutions, human rights and humanitarian affairs, civil rights, development, and economics.
