Ben Hubbard is General Manager of Public Policy and Strategy at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, Australia’s leading social justice law firm.
Ben has worked in some of the most challenging and complex policy and political environments of recent times – as Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, CEO of the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority, Chief of Staff to the Deputy PM and Minister for Education and Workplace Relations, and Senior Political Adviser to the Victorian Premier.
More recently, he was principal of his own advisory firm, providing independent advice to Australian business and governments, specialising in strategic public affairs, public policy, public administration and disaster recovery.
He holds graduate (BCom) and postgraduate qualifications (MPubPol) from the University of Melbourne, and has completed the AICD Company Directors Course.
Ben is a Victorian Councillor for the AICD and a Fellow (FAICD), a Director of YMCA Victoria and YMCA Australia, and is a Director of the Clifton Hill / North Fitzroy Community Bank.
