Benny Nyirenda has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management and he holds a Diploma in Human Resource.
Benny joined the Agricultural Support Programme (ASP) as an Administrative Officer; a position he held for 5 years based in Central province. The programme was funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) through the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MACO). The programme addressed issues of productivity, increased incomes and improved food security through promoting the concept of ‘Farming as a Business’. His main duties were mainly administrative, human resource and secretarial.
After the expiry of the programme Benny moved on to join Heifer International Zambia, he joined as an Administrative assistant he was then promoted to the position of Administrative Officer and he was later promoted to the position of Senior Administrative Officer based at the Country office in Lusaka where he was managing Administration and Human resources. The position he held for 10 years.
Benny Nyirenda has massive experience in Administration and Human Resource Management. He worked closely with line managers in assisting to understand and implement policies and procedures and employment legislation changes; issuing and updating policies to reflect organisational approach or legislative changes; induction training, recruiting and selection process, designing and preparing of advertisements, shortlisting, interviewing and selection of potential candidates. Development and Updating of job descriptions, maintaining employee records; dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.
