I have been working for development cooperation most of my professional career. My first assignments were with the German Volunteer Services (DED) in West Africa. After that period I worked in the main office of a consultant company as coordinator for agricultural projects. I continued as project controller in the central project management unit in an industrial company. More than 23 years I spent with the German Development Bank KfW.
During my professional life I acquired in depth knowledge in various sectors, but mainly in agriculture and protection of natural resources. I also worked in infrastructure development (energy, transport, water and health). I travelled intensively to African and Asian countries and had long term stays in Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Bangladesh. Furthermore, I also worked for conflict and post conflict countries, such as Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
I acquired in depth knowledge of development cooperation and their institutions, methods, tools and products. I am also very conversant with the various types of project management and development policies.
German is my mother tongue and I flluently speak English and French. Now as a free-lance consultant I offer my services for short term assignments such as preparatory project studies, final project evaluations cross cutting topics as well stender agent activities,
monitoring / evaluation
