Beth is passionate about sustainable, effective, grassroots development. She fundamentally believes that true change and growth is borne of lived experience and that human-centered and participatory approaches to development are the key to genuine and lasting change. Her philosophy is one that acknowledges and promotes local communities as experts in their own lives.
Beth's professional experience includes community development, the refugee and asylum seeker sector, disability advocacy and support, qualitative and quantitative community research, and community engagement in both government and NGO contexts with a focus on Human and Civil Rights. Her recent notable achievements include leading an inaugural research team investigating the impact and severity of youth food insecurity, presenting at national forums and conferences, supporting the development of social enterprises, and participating in competitive programs such as The Growth Project and the Pathways to Politics Program for Women.
She is a co-founder and board member of the Community Coalition Victoria, specialising in training and community organising in Victoria.
Beth has a bachelor degree in International Development, and Master of Public Policy and Management. She is the recipient of numerous academic scholarships, is a recognised leader in the charitable sector and offers volunteer support in fundraising, campaigns, and logistics.
