I am an International Development and Public Health specialist with proven project cycle management, organizational value driven leadership and knowledge development competence and currently part of the COVID-19 response team in Kenya. I have over 20 years hands on experience in advocacy and application of rights-based approaches in designing, managing, health systems strengthening, digital health tracking, food security, Social Behavior Change, HIV Research, all forms of gender based violence, maternal/child food and nutrition, health financing, sexual reproductive health and rights of adolescent girls and young women, family planning, gender and development activities in Kenya rising to my current position of Chief Executive at Betty Adera Foundation International and previously as acting Country Director and Chief of Party DREAMS and HOPE Programs at Global Communities. I have working experience in Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, Ghana and Nigeria having provided technical assistance in various relief and development initiatives at Global Communities and FHI 360. I hold a Master of Science Degree in Public Health from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa (2015); Post Graduate Diploma in Children, Youth and Development from Erasmus University, Institute of Social Studies in the Hague, Netherlands (2004) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Nairobi, Kenya (1997). I am currently pursuing PhD studies in Global Public Health at EUCLID University (specializing in adolescent sexual reproductive health and rights) and Post Graduate Diploma in Diplomacy and International Relations.
