I offer a significant level of knowledge and experience in the design and construction of large complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. Past projects have included hotels, conference centres, aviation facilities, universities, commercial workspaces, restaurants, water parks, sports facilities, residential housing and retail.
During my ten years in the United Arab Emirates, I primarily took the role of Lead Consultant/Director in a number of major GCC projects, this providing me considerable experience across a number of procurement strategies including traditional bid/construct, design/build, contractor design and collaborative working agreements.
Combining a career of architecture, sustainable code, and environmental management has allowed me to develop effective communication of design issues, solutions and translate outcomes for all project stakeholders.
I can offer any prospective client or employer the benefit of an immediate skilled resource able to direct, manage, communicate, and motivate stakeholders to achieve the best project outcomes.
Digital technology in the construction industry has been a major focus of my career since early 2003. When appropriate I consider there are great advantages to development projects modelled in virtual environments.
Completed projects have included the management of architecture, building services, environmental studies, sustainable design codes, clean technology, and climate change risk management.
The successful outcome of any project is predicated on a dynamic and flexible approach to management. My focus has always been to garner a thorough understanding of the capability, knowledge, skill and expectations of all project stakeholders, thus providing a way to ensure the team communication underpins a platform for good decisions.
