"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela -
After pursuing a degree in Communication Studies, I decided to use my skills in the humanitarian world, embarking on a project that led me to the USA for a training programme in Sustainable Development and a volunteer experience in Malawi in HIV/AIDS and community health. That is when I discovered my love for health communications & social development.
Back to Brazil, I had the opportunity to expand my experience and knowledge in the HIV/AIDS and Sexual Health fields as communications specialist, counselor and regional manager, leading a team of 15 people, including doctors, pharmacists, psychologists, counselors and health educators in a local department linked to the National AIDS Programme. Later, I went back to Africa to be the Health Communications Consultant for the National AIDS Programme in Angola, where I learned a lot about national policies, community empowerment and partnership development, working closely with NGOs and International Organizations, such as UNAIDS, MSH, UNICEF, DAPP, PSI and others. My most recent journey was to embark on the digital and Design Thinking world in Ireland, developing myself in empathy, problem-solving and prototyping.
