I have 21 years of extensive experience in banking, one-and-half years in development finance, and 1 year as a financial consultant. My areas of focus in banking have been in MSME, agri finance, retail and mass market, developing & deploying market-changing financial service products for low-income groups. I was the Head of Human Resources of a commercial bank (for 3 years) with more than 250 branches and 4,000 staff, cutting across Nigeria, parts of West Africa and the U.K. I have been the CEO of EFInA (funded by DFID of UK government and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), with a 2.8m British Pounds annual budget, providing grants to financial services institutions in Nigeria to improve financial inclusion by developing products for low income groups. I am presently an independent consultant with the IFC (a World Bank Group) on a renewable contract basis, focused on agri finance, MSME and women's businesses. I consulted in 2018 on a USAID project -digital payment options for off grid solar energy and also consulted on a MasterCard Foundation project regarding scoping studies of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises in five African countries.
