United States

Chris is a junior at Harvard University studying Applied Mathematics with a focus in Economics. He is passionate about economics, politics, public policy, and civic engagement. He channels many of these passions in his work as Director of Coding it Forward, a grassroots nonprofit organization that he co-founded to inspire and empower young people and students to use their technology skills for social good. Chris leads Coding it Forward's Civic Digital Fellowship, the first-of-its-kind data science and technology internship program partnered with federal agencies. He works closely with executives at agencies including the Census Bureau, State, Health and Human Services, Veterans Affairs, and General Services Administration to bring meaningful experiences to tech students. Chris led the effort to scale the fellowship from 14 fellows at one agency in its inaugural 2017 cohort to 36 fellows across six agencies in 2018. He's spoken about bringing young people into civic tech and public service at Harvard, Georgetown, Code for America Summit, and Personal Democracy Forum.
