As a Political Science & Spanish major and a Business Economics minor, I have academic expertise and interests in a wide variety of subjects. Throughout my three and a half years at the University of Notre Dame, I have deliberately focused my rigorous, diverse studies of Latin American politics and U.S. relations through combined coursework in political science, literature, and culture. To complement these studies, I have also explored U.S. politics, foreign policy, constitutional rights - including free speech - and taken on graduate-level coursework. My advanced bilingual communication skills have and will continue to allow me to research and analyze issues facing the U.S. and Latin America.
Through such rigorous and diverse studies, I have sought to prepare myself to achieve my career goals to work in Washington, D.C., in U.S. diplomatic relations with Latin America, and/or in national politics. I am relentlessly committed to achieving these career goals, and open to both full-time jobs and internship opportunities in the fields of diplomacy and national politics. By tackling issues in a focused, dedicated way, listening patiently to all views, and by leveraging my collaborative, intellectually curious, and faith-based style of problem-solving, I intend to foster positive global change, which ultimately underlies my desire to pursue a career in diplomacy and/or national politics.
