I am an economist; with a healthy balance of general economic knowledge and analytical skills; beyond having a wide progressive experience as both a public and private sector economist. I have been actively inputting and articulating a wide range of economic policy formulation and management issues, including fiscal and monetary policy management; long term development planning and macro-economic analysis.
I have excellent communication and inter-personal skills which have been utilized in widely liaising and interacting with multiple stakeholders at different levels, non-state actors and grassroots, sectoral ministries, departments and agencies, the international financial institutions. I have participated and provided specialist inputs into the medium term development frameworks for Malawi, the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy (MGDS) I, II and III and the related Development Assistance and Cooperation Strategies.
I have Excellent writing/drafting and presentation skills; Substantive qualitative and analytical skills; and I am a Consultative and participatory leader and team player. I am also self-motivated, result-oriented and highly analytical, with a strong human rights-based persuasion and an aptitude for creative thinking, networking development and dynamic problem solving.
I believe that good economic governance and strong social accountability systems and institutions remain among the greatest assets towards the attainment of sustainable development ideals of leaving no-one behind. I have had 17 years plus, of leadership and strategy development experiences in inclusive and human rights-based programming partnerships around Social Accountability, Entrepreneurship Development and Poverty Reduction.
