Deborah has been associated to tourism development planning for about ten years. She holds a Certificate from UNWTO Tourism Online Academy in International Tourism and Travel Law. She also received a Certificate from Hamburg University HOOU in Tourism in relation to SIDS. She recently helped on a UNWTO tourism project on institutional matters in Central Asia. She lectured law with the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business School and has also lectured Hotel Law and tourism legislation with Vatel Mauritius in the past. She worked for more than two years as a legal officer with the Development Bank of Mauritius Limited, as a paralegal in the United Kingdom during her studies and as a freelance consultant on international projects. An alumni of University of East Anglia (UEA), she is the holder of a professional qualification known as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies. Further, she holds a MaƮtrise en Droit from Reunion University. She contributed with Women, Business and the Law World Bank Group in 2014 and has also provided consultancy services to a British Group specialised in the area of innovation in 2016. She is currently based in Mauritius.
