Mr. Anderson has over forty years of results oriented, successful experience as a mid to top level executive and management consultant on six continents and forty-five countries. His experiences range from developing, assisting and managing start-up, micro, SME’s and major enterprises with an emphasis on agribusiness.
He enjoys a worldwide reputation for excellence in executive management, value chain assessment and strengthening, product development, business turnarounds, strategic planning, business diagnostics, and international marketing. He is a featured panelist on economic development and competitiveness.
Mr. Anderson is an expert in business fundamentals. He has a worldwide reputation for strengthening and readying firms for export. As a result, several of his clients have won international awards for excellence in product and export management. He has facilitated numerous workshops and business training seminars throughout the developing world. Topics have included market intelligence (data mining, calculating unmet profit demand, market entry - targeting, positioning and distribution), regulatory compliance (WTO, SPS, TBTs), quality seals, cooperative development and management, packaging, labeling, access to credit, and building equity in the value chain.
From 1977 to 1998 Mr. Anderson successfully ran his own agribusiness consulting firm, Anderson Associates International (AAI) in both Portland, OR and Bakersfield, California, with representative offices in Canada, Mexico, Australia, Cyprus and the Czech Republic. His private sector project design and product development work for AAI took him to virtually every region of the world, including many years in the Middle East in a number of sectors including fluid products in the building trades, dairy, livestock, field crops, freshpack and supply chain management.
Technical experience includes 1) Agribusiness: commercial pesticide application and consulting; small to large scale irrigation design, application, installation and scheduling; livestock experience including beef, sheep, swine and dairy; fruit and vegetable (row crops) experience including production, crop protection, postharvest technology, processing and markets; field crops include wheat, barley and alfalfa; 2) Building Trades: land development including roads, buildings, utilities and infrastructure.
