Professional work has focused on building sustainable capacity of developing countries in the areas of emergency preparedness, disease surveillance and response systems, outbreak investigations, immunizations, and disease prevention and control measures. Currently serving as project director on CDC-funded activity to develop core training curriculum for 70+ countries with Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETPs). Extensive track record of working effectively with senior Ministry of Health officials, and multilateral health agencies (WHO, CDC, USAID, FAO) and NGOs to implement FETPs and support implementation of International Health Regulations (IHR, 2005) aligned with Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA).
