Raquel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and in the Graduate Program in Public Policy at the Federal University of Paraná. In addition, Raquel is a Guest Research Scholar (by courtesy) at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA, Austria). Raquel teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in economic demography, development microeconomics and methods for evaluating public policies. Her current research includes population and environment, education demographics, economic demographics and development economics. Raquel graduated in Economics from UFMG in 2007, has a master's degree in Demography from UFMG (2010), a master's degree in Comparative International Education from Stanford University (2012), a PhD in Demography from UFMG (2014) and a post-doctorate in World Population by the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA, Austria).
