I am a medical doctor with a Masters degree in International health and a PhD in Clinical epidemiology.
I have a keen interest in impact evaluations of innovations and evidence-based decision making in global health (with a current focus on diagnostic tests).
I am currently the principal investigator of 3 research grants whose content revolves around evaluating and developing methods of determining the accuracy of diagnostic tests, the impact of diagnostic tests on patients and public health programmes as well as methods of disseminating evidence from research on diagnostic tests.
I also teach undergraduate and post graduate medical and public health students on evidence-based approaches on diagnostic test evaluation.
