Farah M.

Master's DegreeMcGill University

Member of the Barreau du Qu├ębec since 2010, I have an intellectual and professional versatility as I have worked in both private and non-governmental structures. Former litigator, I now work in human rights protection and promotion as well as provide humanitarian support to refugees (with UNRWA, Oxfam and UNHCR respectively in Lebanon and Mauritania with the Syrian and Palestine refugee communities). My experiences in direct contact with vulnerable people have improved my abilities to communicate with greater sensitivity and taught me how to identify at best their needs in order to address them. I have also worked on capacity building projects for the judicial institutes of the MENA region countries while in Jordan with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute. In addition to being fully bilingual (French and English), I am also fluent in spoken Arabic (with intermediary reading and basic writing skills).
