Fidelia Panguane is a talented development professional with 10 years of experience working around governance, local development, decentralization, women’s rights and rural development. She started her career in 2002 working for the University she graduated from where she was supporting public administration and sociology courses. This role acted as the foundation of her understanding of public administration, governance and local development. Along the years, she has worked for various local and international Non-Governmental Organisations (Handcap International, OXFAM, CAFOD) and she is now the Municipal Governance manager (advisory post) at DIALOGO, a DFID funded programme, which aims to strengthen democratic governance in Mozambique. Fidelia has experience in preparing, drafting, planning, and carrying out monitoring and evaluation for social and governance projects. She also integrates a gender perspective into the development programmes she works on. Fidelia has always worked in Mozambique and has a great knowledge of the region as well as established networks with CSOs, NGOs and local government. She speaks Portuguese and English fluently.
