Summary

Solid professional experience in financial development and banking regulation in developing and emerging economies. I’ve been teaching at postgraduate level and analyzing data, statistics/econometrics and research for many years. My teaching of economics sciences has covered the areas macroeconomic, microeconomic, econometric and economic principles for students on bachelor’s and master’s courses in Europeans countries. My research has involved how to develop the African financial sectors and the emergence of new financing actors in sub-Saharan countries. I have made empirical studies with the focus on the causal relationships between financial actors’ performance and GDP growth; the relationship between prudential policies and banking profitability and their risk; and African banking governance. My educational background is as economist and professor/researcher, with a PhD in banking regulation, financial development, financial inclusion in Africa, econometric and risk management.
