Biologist, in Natural Resources Conservation (spec. Ecology; Univ. of Bologna, Italy, 110/110 summa cum laude) and in International Cooperation for Rural Development (Univ. of Padua, Italy, summa cum laude), Giorgio holds also a certificate in Permaculture Design (Oregon State University, USA) and is member of Permaculture Institute of North America. He's an expert in tropical rural development with a special focus on latin American countries. He spent many years in the peruvian Amazon working with indigenous Yanesha communities. At the moment he's President and executive Director of the non-profit peruvian asosciation 7Elements Peru and also works as project manager, director and designer in different rural project in the Dominican Republic and Peru. He's a former 1st Leutenent of Italian Army, where he spent his early year carreer between 1993-1997; as volunteer he participated in many operation such as the management of Kosovo refugees during 1999 crisis (Valona, Albania, International Hospital camp); he's a former scout. Giorgio has a 9 years daughter, Gaia and in his free time he likes surfing, hiking in the jungle and gardening in his permaculture garden.
