Hailu Tesfaye (Dr)
Hailu Tesfaye (Dr) has worked as a medical doctor and a specialist in pediatrics & child Health for Ethiopia’s Ministry of Health from October 1991 till February 2005 in Southern Ethiopia. He joined Save the Children USA as USAID supported Emergency Health and nutrition Program Manager in February 2005. He became the Sub Office Manager and Child Survival Advisor for Save the Children USA in Southern Ethiopia as of March 2007. He is now a Program Operation Director for Save the Children International. He oversees more than 20 Health and nutrition, maternal newborn and child Health, and community based Health and nutrition programs in South Ethiopia. Dr.Hailu is a national expert and master trainer in iCCM, CBNC, IMNCI and CMAM. He was engaged in the development of CMAM, ICCM, CBNC and ICCM national guidelines and training materials. He also teaches at Hawassa University, Department of Applied Human Nutrition on Emergency Nutrition.
