I am majoring in Community and Public Health with a minor in Global Studies. I will receive my Bachelor's of Science with a concentration in Public Health in May of 2018. I am currently an intern in the Epidemiology division of Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Currently, I am working with Dr. Pamela Hull and Dr. Summer Weber on a Children Eating Well (CHEW) intervention to address childhood obesity prevention through research, education, and extension. I also had the opportunity to present my research, “A Mental Health Issue: The Relationship Between Sexual Assault and Mental Health Among Tennessee High School Students” at M.T.S.U. Scholar’s Week and the annual American Public Health Association 2017 conference.
I am seeking a part-time position as a research assistant or community health worker. I possess the ability to quickly learn new concepts while utilizing excellent organizational and critical thinking skills essential to collecting and analyzing data. My involvement in my undergraduate studies has produced strong program planning and evaluating skills, in addition to experience with REDCap, SPSS, and EpiData.
