I am a highly motivated, passionate and hard-working operations professional with over 10 years' work experience in INGO. I have
worked in senior leadership positions both at the regional and country office level with reputable organisations namely Plan
International, Oxfam Great Britain and local organisation called Catholic Diocese of Lodwar, Kenya. My expertise is in both
humanitarian and development sector leading the operations docket namely Finance, Logistics, Administration, Human Resources,
Information Technology, and Security. I have experience in working in areas around Water & Sanitation (WASH), Food Security,
Women Empowerment, Girl Child rights, Campaign & Advocacy, Education, Food Security and livelihood, Education, Gender Based
Violence, Human rights among others.
Currently, I work for Plan International as the Regional Finance Manager providing strategic financial leadership and technical
support to the region of Eastern and Southern Africa. After new global strategy was coined, the Deputy Regional Directors of
Operations functions was assigned to my docket which included Risk Management, Procurement management in the region and
registrations for countries. I worked for Oxfam GB previously for over 6 years in various capacities including; HECA Region: Regional
Finance Manager, Roving Finance Manager, Head of Operations Tanzania, Head of operations Ethiopia, Finance Manager / Donor
Accountant South Sudan among other positions. Key responsibilities I have held include people's management, financial
management, analysis and reporting, Budget and Budget management, treasury management, logistic & admin coordination. I
currently coordinate management of Euro 150 million of a combined budget in the RESA region. I am a good team player, dedicated
to delivery, good listener, and strategic planner and committed in meeting deadlines. Education-wise, I have completed PhD in Finance
working on research now in ''Fraudulent practices'' and an MBA Finance both from The University of Nairobi, I hold a 2nd class
honour's BED Arts with I.T degree (Mathematics majors) from Maseno University. On Professional training, I am a Certified Public
Accountant (CPA K) registered with ICPAK.
My key achievements include; Overseeing change management process in Plan Regional Office, Coordination of business re-
engineering work in Ethiopia aimed at improving internal controls, lead in financial management of humanitarian responses in
Kenya dadaab camp, Tanzania Kibondo camp, Ethiopia Gambella camp & South Sudan response that saw significant reduction in audit
issues and disallowed expenditure, Successfully lead teams which noted improved performance due to good interpersonal skills, Plan
accounting system interrogation which saw innovations and improvement in management of grants.
