A highly skilled development professional with over 17 years’ experience working on core development issues in various countries including South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia, The Gambia and Malawi amongst others. Professional experience includes over a decade working for the U.K. Department for International Development (UK Aid) and Embassy of Ireland in the Southern Africa region on the design, management and monitoring and evaluation of HIV, SRHR, maternal and child health, gender equality and gender-based violence as well as human rights programs. My expertise extends to capacity building, organisational capacity assessments, development of tools and systems and provision of technical assistance to a range of regional and global institutions including the Global Fund to fight HIV, TB and Malaria amongst others. In the past few years my focus has largely been on young people, human rights and sexual and reproductive health and rights. In addition to English, language proficiency includes 8 of the 11 official languages spoken in South Africa as well as a basic understanding of Kiswahili and French.
