Ibukunoluwa A.

A strong passion for strategy has been the drive of my career pursuit. This informed my choice to study Economics where my ability to think strategically will be stretched and given momentum to address business and socio-economic problems around my space. As such, I see opportunity to address these issues as a means to apply my classroom Economics with practical realities and get a first-hand feel of how it works and fails. I like refreshing my knowledge on a daily basis and applying it to ever-changing problems and contexts through learning, reading, researching, problem solving, etc. I am always looking at exciting initiatives to learn from. And once I have created something novel, I can always pass it on to other enthusiastic learners while I look for new opportunities. Furthermore, I love to put my thoughts, opinions and views to intellectual audience for objective reasoning and criticism. This prompted my single-handed volition to bail-out my class from an inter-level presentation titled – “Transforming BRICS to BRINCS: Thoughts on Positioning Nigeria as a Major World Economic Player”. Also, in the ecstasy of this passion, I furthered my course by conducting an undergraduate research work titled – “The Nigerian Unemployment Milieu and the SME Option: Thoughts on Positioning Nigeria as a Major World Economic Player”. Subsequently, I have published articles on The Daily Independence newspaper which include “A Social Perspective to Youth Empowerment and Development Drive”, “An Economic Perspective to Youth Empowerment and Development Drive”, and “A Political Perspective to Youth Empowerment and Development Drive”. Of late, I made a presentation at the NYSC Oyo Camp on "Investment: A Wheel for National and Personal Development." I have led several group projects (successfully) where I had to balance competition and teamwork, intensity and integrity, intellectual curiosity and leadership potential with my earnest passion for excellence.
