Summary

During the academic journey, Ivan started working in different companies, as sports and pedagogical coordinator, developing and dynamising activities for kids between 5 and 18 years old. He also coordinated teams in youth summer camps. In between 2008 and 2012 he worked as a PE teacher in public schools in Portugal in elementary and medium schools (primary and high). In March 2012, he joined Luís Figo soccer school (Dreamfootball) to coach kids between 6 and 15 years. In September 2012, he moved to Timor-Leste to to start working with International organisations in Development countries. He worked as a trainer of Timorese teachers (INFORDEPE), in program cooperation between Portugal government and Timor Leste Government. On March 2015, he was invited for the role of Visiting Lecturer by the National University of Timor Lorosa’e, to work at the teacher’s training department and at the Physical Education and Sports Department. Since early 2016, he has been working in a Education program from DFAT Australia, coordinating and providing technical support to the development and strengthening of systems and evidence-based policy development within the Ministry of Education of Timor Leste, including systems that support Education programs and ICT implementation. The support is in the form of technical assistance in planning, design and implementation.
