James Mateyo is a seasoned development practitioner with nineteen years’ experience in developing, managing and implementing multi- million dollar public health and development projects funded by USAID, OFDA, USDA, DFID, AusAID and EU. Currently employed by World Vision Mozambique as Project Director for COVida, a US$89 million USAID funded Consortium where FHI 360 is Prime. World Vision Is implementing COVida in Gaza and Zambezia Provinces supporting 76,266 0rphans and vulnerable children (OVC). Prior to this assignment, I served as Acting Deputy National Director WV Zambia. I joined World Vision as Development Facilitator for the USAID funded, Zambia Integrated Agroforestry Project (ZIAP) in 1999 and rose to the position of Associate Director Operations WV Zambia, - STEPS OVC grant,. Other positions held in World Vision include Project Manager RAPIDS – WV Zambia, PSNF Coordinator, Project Manager for Zambia Local and Regional Procurement Project, and the Project Coordinator for the OFDA funded Zambia Emergence, Seed and Technology Project (ZEST).
