Summary

I began my USAID career in 1989 in Washington, D.C. From 1992-1996, I served in Budapest as USAID/Hungary's Project Development Officer and Local Government Team Leader. I then spent three years in Washington working in the Europe and Eurasia Bureau where I was the Romania and Turkey Desk Officer, the Deputy Chief of the Civil Society Division, and a Liaison to the State Department on Kosovo.After Washington, I served two years in Georgia at USAID/Caucasus, the first as Deputy and then as Chief of the Economic Restructuring Office. I worked for five years as the Supervisory Program Officer with USAID/Mozambique, and two years as the Supervisory Program Officer for USAID/Southern Africa. I spent three and a half years in the Dominican Republic from December 2008 through May 2012 as both Deputy Director and Acting Mission Director (two years). After five years as USAID Director in Honduras, in July 2017 I began my two years as USAID's Development Diplomat in Residence based at Morehouse College and working with colleges and universities in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
