This includes 12 years in Africa with USAID (Ghana, Uganda, Liberia, Angola and Equatorial Guinea); six years in Latin America with USAID, UNECLA, OAS & IADB (Brazil, Peru, Guatemala, Argentina, Uruguay); and two years in Asia with USAID & World Bank (Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh & Thailand). Most recent employment in Liberia. Focus on strengthening private sector competitiveness as a means of reducing poverty by employing economic policy analysis & reform advice combined with export business development and value chain strengthening. Sectors of expertise include: macroeconomics, trade, financial sector, agriculture, transportation, telecom & energy. Supervised teams ranging in size fro 3 to 18 technical and administrative staff. Looking for a long-term assignment in Africa but will consider short-term assignments.
