I am a development professional with 26 years of extensive experience with International Organizations and UN (10 years) on designing/planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of Agricultural Development, Sustainable Livelihoods, Poverty Reduction, Natural Resource Management and Inclusive Rural Development Programmes/projects mainly focussing on women and youth.
I have 15 years of experience on Project Management following result-based management with setting up new offices, staff recruitment, procurement and leading and managing financial and human resources. Well familiar with the PRINCE2 (training completed on Prince 2 foundation course) and ATLAS Finance system, UNDP’s Programme and Operations Policies and Procedures (POPP).
I have more than 12 years of experience of working under post crisis (post conflict and post disaster) conditions in Nepal, Timor-Leste, Indonesia (post Tsunami in Aceh) and Myanmar (Post Nargis, post Giri and Rakhine and Kachin conflict) for Early Recovery and Livelihoods Cluster/Sectors coordination and leading assessment of early recovery needs, strategic planning and programming, implementation, monitoring and reporting of early recovery, livelihoods stabilization and economic recovery, community resilience and social cohesion projects.
I have extensive experience in creating an enabling environment for private sector to support inclusive economic growth; micro-finance and value-added micro, small and medium enterprise development; promoting saving and credit based women’s Self Help/Affinity/Reliance Groups; markets assessment and development; cash-for-work and food-for-work; sustainable rural employment and income generation; institutional policy support on agriculture and livelihoods; social protection and Disaster Risk Reduction initiatives; inter-agency coordination and partnership building; providing leadership and policy advice; networking with Donors, UN Agencies and other stakeholders; and capacity building of communities, Government and civil society organizations.
