Summary

A Global Health Implementation Scientist with a research interest in local and global HIV programs, particularly in the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV. I have skills in designing, implementing, evaluating HIV programs, and committed to providing effective leadership in disseminating and scaling-up proven research findings into routine practice at home and abroad. Demonstrated proficiencies in using quantitative and qualitative research methods to generate and analyze data on STATA statistical software. I have presented novel research findings at international conferences with several peer-reviewed publications. My current project is on using PEPFAR monitoring, evaluation, and reporting indicators to assess HIV testing and antiretroviral treatment coverage among pregnant and breastfeeding women living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa. I have practiced as a primary care physician in Africa and worked as a translational scientist in the US.
