I am a community builder both for students and staff always trying to make things
better. I hold a 4 year Bachelor of Education with 2nd class Honour's and have been
teaching for over 9 years. Always an asset to the organization, I bring a unique set of
skills and experiences ranging across all year levels including middle and senior
school, familiarity with British curriculum and an extremely diverse set of cultural,
social and religious settings.
I embrace every opportunity to fine tune my teaching skills. Working closely with other
teachers learning to meld our strengths for the benefit of the students and working in
tandem has allowed me to develop my communication skills even further.
I strive to attain excellence in teaching by demonstrating creativity and innovation in
the design, planning, managing of learning activities and effective delivery of
curriculum; Promote student achievement by setting high but achievable goals;
Recognize student diversity and devise strategies to work effectively with them;
Engage, enthuse or inspire students into loving my subject by demonstrating genuine
interest in them. It is up to me to differentiate lessons to cater for the diverse needs of
my students, both linguistically and academically. Setting individual targets with
students helps them internalise their learning goals and enables me to measure their
As grade coordinator: Developing and reviewing the scope and sequence of the
Class Curriculum, ensuring curriculum documentation is aligned with high school
mainstream documentation. Working closely with other high school teachers so as to
provide a smooth pathway into the senior school mainstream for students. Track
Class / Student progress and leading the process for the grade. Providing a high level
of pastoral care for students and organizing regular meetings with parents and
facilitating excellence in home-school communication. Participating in student
interviews and constructing appropriate baseline tests for students.
Motivating and regularly celebrating the success of students and maintaining the
visual and physical dimension of the classrooms. Resourcing the grade in
collaboration with the financial department, and the Principal.
Planning and overseeing appropriate field studies for the Class and ensuing school
virtues / student profiles are facilitated. Support the orientation of new
teachers/student to the school in role leading teacher/student wellness.
