I am a philanthropy champion.
I'm comfortable in front of a crowd and quick to make a connection.
Civic engagement is where it's at.
People want to be asked for their money to support an incredible cause, believe me.
Mini bio about how I got here:
Before launching my career as a fundraising professional in 2010, my passion for theater brought me to four regions of the country within five years. In New York City I interned with The Wooster Group, the city's premiere avant-garde theatre company, and worked for Samuel French as a dramatic properties Licensing Associate. In Texas, I performed with the Texas Shakespeare Company and was employed by Austin's Dougherty Arts Center as a Theatre Arts teacher for K-5 students. In rural Minnesota I wore the many hats of an Artist/Administrator at the Commonweal Theatre Company, writing grants by day and playing one of a dozen stage roles by night. Back in my native Bay Area, I grew as a development professional, developing and executing TheatreWorks' institutional fundraising strategy. Now with the Commonwealth Club of California, I help to grow financial support for the nation's largest and oldest public affairs program.
