Kishor Pradhan is a development professional with a Masters Degree in Development Anthropology and a Diploma in Mass Communication, and a Certified Knowledge Manager from Knowledge Management Institute, Virginia, USA. With more than 20 years of international development experience Kishor’s expertise are in senior management, grant management, program/project development and project cycle management with emphasis on learning and knowledge management, communications, media (mainstream and new media), capacity building, change management, strategic planning, strategies and organizational development. He has directly worked in senior management leadership positions and provided consultancies at the national level in Nepal and at regional levels in Asia-Pacific, South East Asia and South Asia for several INGOs such as ICIMOD, TAF, GIZ, UNDP, ADB, WB, DANIDA, WWF and others, on several development issues including democratisation, governance, conflict management and peace building, poverty, environment, disaster, public health, education, human rights, governance, GESI, leadership, partnership (government, non-government and private sectors), behaviour change, M&E and others. Kishor believes sustainable development is possible by realizing peoples’ empowerment and ownership through transformation socially, economically and politically. Since 2012, besides working as a freelance development consultant, Kishor founded and is the CEO of Development Knowledge Management and Innovation Services Pvt. Ltd. (DeKMIS), which provides services in the areas of development research, information, knowledge management, communication, and innovation.
